According to Stephen of UX Evangelist, the codename for the next revision of Windows is indeed, “Windows 8,” and there is a 3-year gap between the current server release (minor) and the upcoming server release (major) which means it will release in 2012.

I think Microsoft will follow their old release cycle of 2.5 to 3 year, earlier they have released Windows Vista in January ’07, Windows 7 going to release in October ’09 and Windows 8 will be in 2012.

In addition, it provides the opportunity for you to become more familiar with the key improvements over previous versions of the Windows operating system, and experience firsthand how Windows 7 can make your PC environment more productive, secure, and manageable.

Guidelines on usage:

1. Protect your PC and data. Be sure to back up your data and please don’t test Windows 7 on your primary home or business PC.

2. You have 10 days to activate the product. If not activated within 10 days, the system will shut down once every hour until activated.

3. The 90-day Trial is the full working version of the Windows 7 Enterprise, the version most of you will be working with in your corporate environment. It will not require a product key.
