BSNL launches WiMax service in Rajasthan

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has launched WiMax service in Rajasthan. This service was launched at a function in Pisangan Telephone Exchange in Ajmer district. Through this you will get a speed of 7 Mbps with in a range of 15 Kms. By this service BSNL will help Internet users along with Government sectors for Video conference.

In the first phase, BSNL would cover 1000 block headquarters across the country and the remaining block headquarters be connected through 50,000 common service centers in next phase.

By this Service BSNL become first company in India to start wireless broadband services and announced a tariff starting with Rs 140 per month for rural areas.
