VMware has created a server version of their software which can be downloaded for free. The desktop version of Ubuntu currently supports the following system configuration -
- x86 32 bit and 64 bit architectures
- minimum memory requirement for Ubuntu 9.04 is 256 MB of memory.
Some of the system’s memory may be unavailable as it is occupied by the graphic card which causes delay in installation but once it gets installed, system will perform adequately.
