Get FREE Manual GPRS Settings for Vodafone Phones

General Packet Radio System, which is popularly known as GPRS, is a kind of data service for GSM on 2G or 3G. While you require this important data services in your mobiles to connect to internet, it is also important to note that this data service is not readily available in your phones. So, you need to go to your Vodaphone customer centers and shell out some money to get this data service on your phone. And, without this service your iPhones or Blackberrys look just ordinary phones. Procedure

To Activate GPRS

First of all, you need to activate Vodafone live on your mobiles. In order to active, you need to send SMS   in the following ways.

  • Postpaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 111 (toll free)
  • Prepaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 144 (toll free)
  • MMS & WAP Access: SMS ACT VL to 52586 to activate Vodafone live!
  • To activate Vodafone Mobile Connect (Web Access on phone or Laptop/PC): ACT VMC699 to 56789

Activating Vodafone life is absolutely free of cost. Now, if Vodafone Live is activated on your phone, then follow the simple procedure to set up manual GPRS settings.

Steps to Follow

Once you have activated Vodafone Live then you can use the manual GPRS Settings below:

  • First type in the homepage “http://live.vodafone.in”
  • Type in the Account Name “Vodafone Live”
  • Leave the User Name field blank.
  • Leave the Password field blank
  • Select the Authentication Type as Normal
  • Enter the Access Point Name as portalnmms
  • Mark Proxy as “Enabled/yes”

There you go; you are done with manual GPRS settings for your Vodafone mobiles for free.

    i'm using G'five AP3 Mobile. when i try to activet GPRS settings the povider (Vodaphone) reply “sorry you are not allowed to subscribe this request” .pls help me how can i activet and acces internet in my Mobile. thanks

    To activate Gprs:
    Postpaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 111 (toll free)
    Prepaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 144 (toll free)

    There is no charge for activating Vodafone live. Once you have activated Vodafone Live then you can use the manual GPRS Settings below:

    Account Name – Vodafone Live
    User Name – leave Blank
    Password – leave Blank
    Proxy – Enabled/yes
    Access Point Name – portalnmms
    Proxy – Enabled/yes.
    Proxy and Server Address– 010.010.001.100
    Proxy and Server Port – 9401 or 8080
    Homepage – http://live.vodafone.in
    Authentication Type – Normal
