- Now you will find “PDFs” under Actions, in the new automator window. Click on it.
- Now in the second column, you can see an option “Extract PDF Text”. This will open a new dialog box. In that select Rich Text Option.
- Now specify your destination path and give a name to the file in “Output File Name” option.
- Now in the Mac Menu Bar, Open the File option and Click on Save As in it. This will open up a dialog box. Select the file format and give a new and relevant name. Now save the file and quit from automator window.
- Now click on the PDF file that you wish to convert to word format. Now drag this PDF file and drop it onto the the application you just created in the automator window.
- This will convert the PDF to Rich text file. Now that you have a rich text file, open a word document.
- Go to File, this will open up a new dialog box, in that select the rich text application you have just created.
- This should bring out the document intact in MS-Word.
How to Convert PDF to Word 2007
Now let us see how to convert PDF to Word 2007

- For this we will be using a free online conversion service called Zamzar. You can find it here online.
- Open the website and you should see a tab “Send Files”. Click on that option.
- You will be redirected to page with various options. Here select the Document conversion option.
- This should take you to page with different types of files. Here select PDF.
- Now upload your PDF file you want to convert. You can also enter the URL of the PDF file.
- Now, since you want to convert to Word 2007, select .docx extension.
- This should send you an email containing different links to the file you just converted.
- This email should reach you within few minutes and in some cases may take longer time.

- Mostly you will receive a complete document without any missing words. Also, you don’t need to provide your email ids with this option.
- Now open the website. On the home page itself, on the left hand side you should see an option called “PDF to Word”.
- Click on this option and you will be redirected to a page, where you need to upload and convert the PDF file.
- Remember, larger files may take bit more time to get uploaded. This will start your upload and conversion process.
- Once the conversion completes, you will see a document in rich text format.
- You can open this document in Word 2007. Now save the file with an extension .docx.
